The GreenCompSchool project is advancing the integration of sustainable practices in education through the European GreenComp framework. This initiative aims to enhance teachers’ green skills, allowing them to validate these competencies with micro-credentials, ensuring practical application in the classroom.
A key focus of our recent work has been aligning 12 competences for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) with 12 teaching approaches. This alignment is crucial in assessing how these competences drive effective sustainability learning and action.
We’re excited to announce that we’re nearing the completion of Work Package 3 (WP3), which involves developing a blended learning micro-credential program. This program is tailored for elementary teachers and future educators, with the goal of fostering a sustainability mindset in young students.
