VIRDUAL: Successful Meeting in Athens

On July 11th, partners from across Europe gathered in Athens for the second transnational meeting of the VIRDUAL initiative, an Erasmus+ KA2 project dedicated to advancing digital innovation in Vocational Education and Training (VET). The project is focused on integrating Extended Reality (XR) into work-based learning programs, enhancing training opportunities for both VET trainers and apprentices.

Key Highlights from the Meeting

The consortium has successfully completed the training curriculum, outlining the essential learning outcomes. This marks a significant step forward in developing an interactive e-learning platform that will make XR-powered learning widely accessible.

Partners are now working on implementing XR-enhanced lessons, designed to provide apprentices with hands-on, immersive learning experiences that simulate real-world workplace scenarios. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, VIRDUAL aims to equip learners with the practical skills needed in today’s evolving job market.

Looking ahead, the project will soon launch its pilot programs, engaging over 150 participants across multiple countries. These trials will be crucial in refining the digital learning environment and ensuring its effectiveness in professional training settings.

As the project progresses, VIRDUAL continues to drive forward innovation in VET, supporting the next generation of skilled professionals through state-of-the-art digital tools. Stay tuned for further updates on how XR is transforming vocational education.
