Project Description
Lack of a basic common European Quality Assurance (QA) standard for Vocational Education & Training (VET) constitutes a barrier to transparency and mobility within EU. Special attention has been paid to issues like needs analysis and correspondence with labour market demands, systematic stakeholders’ involvement and evaluation, selection of pedagogical approach and the flexibility of education providers.
The aim of “CQAF-VET: Common Quality Assurance Framework at VET-provider level” was to help Member States and participating countries to develop, improve, monitor and evaluate their own VET systems and practices, based on common principles, criteria and tools. The project developed an operational model for QA, with themes and indicators and an elaborated description for practitioners of VET in how to use the model as well as ways to provide evidence for QA.
