On 28-29 August the 2nd transnational partners meeting of the Erasmus+ FoodConsious, in which DIMITRA Educational Organization  participates, took place in Velenje, Slovenia. Special thanks to the School Centre Velenje for hosting and organizing the meeting!

During the meeting, partners discussed the development of the project and presented  participated in brainstorming workshops regarding the the National Best Practices and Survey Results. The second day of the meeting a field visit to a local food service establishment and a Tour of the School of Service Industries of School Centre Velenje was organized.

The overall objective of the project is to raise awareness among food service workers and consumers on how they can contribute to reducing food waste. At the same time, a training programme will be set up so that workers in the sector are aware of the need to reduce food waste and work towards the sustainability of the food system.
