Project Description

The objective of the project “Human Rights in Practice” is to prevent violence linked to so-called harmful practices committed against women, young people and children through education and awareness among newly arrived immigrants by education and awareness rising on European Conventions on Human Rights, Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, motivating to behavioural changes. The purpose of the project is to further develop the inclusion of thematic subjects concerning European Conventions on Human Rights and HRV in language training for immigrants upon through cooperation between language training centres and immigrant NGOs. Finally, a European virtual network among ethnic minority NGOs in different member states for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, experiences and best practices, regarding HRV will be established.
