Project Description
A mismatch between skills demand and supply has high economic and social costs and contributes to structural unemployment. Early identification of future skill needs enables training providers to forecast what skills will be in demand, so as to ensure a better fit between jobs and skills. For that reason, JS – toolbox project aimed to develop a set of methodological tools in order to match the offer of vocational training, with the future needs for skills, in local and regional level.
The project improved cooperation and coordination of regional labour policy by stakeholders taking into consideration higher employability and reduction of the risk for future skill mismatch. The result was a toolbox which covered the process from interpretation of forecast to job/skill profile and from there to upgraded training programs.
