Project Description
The NEW START project aims to develop and implement a training and motivational programme for women victims of gender violence. It is based on both life coaching and mentoring techniques. The project will provide victims with tools to boost their self-confidence, self-esteem and problem-solving skills, and will develop their entrepreneurial skills in order to assist re-enter into the labour market and to facilitate better social inclusion. To do so, the project is built on development and delivery of life coaching and mentoring sessions to victims of gender violence. The concrete implementation of activities is supported by the design of training materials, the enhancement of mentors and coaches’ skills and the development of a Transnational Guide of Life Coaching and Mentoring. The project focuses on two innovative methodologies to empower women victims of violence. On the one hand, the coaching will improve women’s self-esteem and self-confidence. On the other hand, mentoring on entrepreneurship will help women to become independent, will empower their managerial skills, and eventually, will help them to re-enter the labour market and even to become self-employed and undertake entrepreneurial activity.
